The Office of
Special Programs supports the mission of the School of Rural Public
Health to improve the health of communities, to effectively increase
knowledge, communication, and awareness through partnerships that
promote healthy communities in rural areas. This is
accomplished through “strengthening ties and collaborations with
relevant public health agencies, academic institutions and rural
communities,” and establishing “long term partnerships” throughout
Texas and across the nation.
