SRPH assists in McAllen pediatric asthma conference

The Texas A&M Health Science Center (HSC) School of Rural Public Health McAllen Campus and the McAllen Asthma Coalition (MAC) recently partnered with the Texas A&M University Center for Housing and Urban Development colonias program (CHUD) to offer asthma certified continuing education training for South Texas community health workers (promotores).

SRPH serves key role in themed issue of Journal of Primary Prevention

Craig Blakely, Ph.D., M.P.H., dean of the Texas A&M Health Science Center School of Rural Public Health, and Jim Burdine, Dr.P.H., assistant dean for public health practice at the school, served as guest editors for the current issue of the Journal of Primary Prevention, focusing on community-based participatory research and community health development.
